Corrections

A correction should identify the archive URL, the wording in question and—where possible—the corresponding scan.

Correction policy

Obvious transcription errors may be corrected with an audit note. Historical spelling and errors present in the printed source should remain in the transcription and may receive separate editorial clarification.

What happens next

A report is checked against the scan and migration record. Accepted changes are made through version control so the source, reason, review and publication history remain inspectable.

Report a correction

Use the contact form and include:

  1. the full archive page URL;
  2. the text as shown and the correction you propose;
  3. the relevant scan ID, if one is available;
  4. a short explanation or supporting source for an editorial correction.
